I'm not aware of property attributes - at least, in an in-app way - which would indicate whether a property is able to be bulk edited. I like @HubSpotMaster's suggestion of importing anything you're not able to bulk edit in-app. Just keep a running tally of uneditable properties; while that kind of discovery is a bummer, it's not a blocker.

I'm not seeing any restrictions on updates by data type in this help article. Anecdotally, though, attempting to set properties only HubSpot can set (created date, analytics properties, lifecycle stage without first clearing out the value) will not write changes.

@bradmin Thanks Brad. Do you have any more specifics? I discovered one can not bulk edit a contact phone number as HubSpot thinks of this as a unique identifier.
I have Bulk edited tasks.
Can not bulk edit notes.
Can not bulk edit phone number.
Is there a property attribute (field type, etc) which can not be bulk edited?
I did some tests on my own portal and I was able to edit my task in a bulk. Could you please advise if you are following these steps? If so, could you please provide a HAR file?
Thank you
Sharon

Is it possible to bulk edit the First & Last Name properties for Contacts?
I need to replace inadvertently uploaded "NA" with blanks.
The import of blank fields does not seem to overwrite, nor does bulk edit seem to work (i.e. I can't select First or Last Name properties when doing a bulk edit ~230 contacts).

Bulk editing

@gelflex-cc If it won't let you do it there you can always do an export of the data, update it in excel and re-import just that field with the property ID as the identifier.
What is the use case to bulk edit notes or tasks? The above will work for all properties.
Continuing the thought - If you had the associated Company next to the 20 people, you could use filters in excel to get just those 20 then copy paste that 1 phone number. Still may not be worth it but wanted to make sure I explained why I thought it would be just as efficient if you export with all properties.
