Bug in the Notes section Says too many characters

I have been using Hubspot for 8 years now and never seen a bug like this.  I try to save some notes and the notes section of contacts and it auto populates with 50,000-200,000 blank characters.   And then it gives me an Error just saying I can't save too many characters.  Can't delete, can't type..as it just keeps adding blank spaces.  In short......it makes it impossible to leave notes for that client.

I have tried.....Diff PC's, Mouse, browses, servers, hard refresh, etc.  You name it.  This happenes to about 1 in every 50 contacts. Thus not allowing me to save any notes. 

 

Any thoughts?

Hi Pam, thank you for the ideas. I had tried that before, and on diff PCs and with Diff browswers. ......just no idea why it is happening and why its only for every maybe 1 in 50 contacts.  I have contacted hubspot more than a few times....I keep getting....we'll get back to you soon. And yesterday was when someone said...... I should post here and see if I can find any sollutions.   Rather **bleep**ty Customer services in my opinion.

Hello @AAdamusiak, thank you for posting in our Community!

 

This could be caused by an external source and not Hubspot directly, I would say it has something to do with the extensions you have installed within your web browser, in this case, can you please start

 

  • Installing an extension
  • Close your browser
  • open the browser back again and see if is working properly
  • if working properly the extension you just deleted is what is causing this issue
  • if the issue persists, please repeat the same process with another extension

 I would recommend connecting with HubSpot Technical Support, as Support is included in your subscription and they will be able to provide real-time assistance for this matter, including hopping on a screenshare if necessary.
