Best practices for multiple email addresses in Salesforce integration
Hello HS Community,
We're using Salesforce integration. As you all know Hubspot track and merge multiple email addresses of a contact. So whenever you click details you're seeing the primary and secondary email addresses of the contact.
But, in Salesforce it only pushes primary email addresses that we define.
Are there any best practices to push all email addresses that Hubspot merged under the contact?

Hi,
We are also still struggling with what the best way for handling these duplicates from a system perspective. As email adress is such a crucial identifier for syncing and passing over information back and forth between Hubspot and Salesforce, that I believe this was not thought through really well. As Hubspot gives you the option to maintain multiple email addresses SFDC limits you to only one.
As Salesforce is our main salestool we have created an instruction for our CS department, that the "merge" should take place in SFDC, cause then any sync errors on Hubspot side are avoided and the secondary emailaddress should be added manually in Hubspot in order not to loose any activity history or mess up any leads scoring that is in place.

Hi @ozgesila - This may be a simplistic approach, but something you could try if you require multiple email addresses. Decide on maximum number (maybe it's 3 email addresses?) and create fields for Email 2 and Email 3 in both HS and SF. On the HS side, you could build a quick workflow to carry additional emails to those fields. Then map back to Salesforce.

How would you trigger this workflow? There doesn't appear to be a way to find contacts with multiple email addresses, or a way to automate copying those additional email addresses into other properties.
