What would be the best practice for working with a recurring client? To create a separate deal for each piece of work is a bit messy. I want to use Hubspot after the sale is agreed to make notes and updates on the project.... so perhaps I'm asking Hubspot to be a project manager, which might not be the best idea?
What we do is use deal stages for each step of the process. Once the first deal is completed (closed-won), we have a new deal auto-created in a new pipeline that transfers over the datestamps and info. Once your first deal is won-closed, you could create a new "Returning Customer" pipeline with the necessary steps. This way, you have 2 pipelines and 2 deals for returning customers. We find having the separate pipelines to be essential for tracking/reporting purposes. We also have a workflow that datestamps each time a deal moves stages.
Do you think this could work for what you are trying to accomplish?
