Does anyone know how to set periodic, automated backups? Or manual? Thinking what if something happened and I needed the entire database of companies, contacts, deals, tasks etc.
There aren't any specific tools for recurring backups at the moment, at least not within HubSpot. Currently, you'd have to manually export your content and data – or look into integrations like skyvia HubSpot Backup and Restore (which I haven't tested but seem like they're offering just what you're looking for) or Zapier.
Alternatively, there's always the option to build a custom solution using the HubSpot API.

For this, I will suggest you link the google sheet with your HubSpot and then write different object-based workflows, then add an action that sends data to google sheet. As a result, all your data will be exported in google sheet automatically.
I hope this will help you.
And yes, there’s an alternative solution and the is sending data to a webhook and in that webhook, you can manage the exported JSON and you can store it wherever you want.
You might have a doubt in your head and that is how will it get scheduled or how do you re-control the objects in the workflow. For this, I would suggest using a different workflow through which you need to enroll the object in the workflow again and also use the delay function again.
No such facility of backup data is there currently in HubSpot. However, you can export all your contebt and data from the HubSpot. Refer this article here.
Hope this helps!

Good news, HubSpot backups are now in private beta:
What is it?
CRM Data Backup introduces an important mechanism to protect your data. You now can have a manual export of all contacts, companies, deals, tickets, custom objects, products, calls, and tasks in a CSV zip file.
Why does it matter?
Even though we do allow you to export objects individually, there isn't an option to perform a full backup of your data. We often hear that integrations, workflows and other automations can mistakenly alter your data. Having regular backups not only ensures business continuity and peace of mind but also allows you to be at ease, knowing that you have a backup to restore if unwanted changes occur.
How does it work?
As a super admin, you can go to Settings > Data Backup > Create Backup to start this export. You can download these files in-app or via a link in your email.
Who gets it?
All paid hubs & tiers. Enterprise tier can create a backup every 24 hours, while other tiers can create a weekly backup.
You can check whether you have access to this private beta here:
If you're not seeing this yet, you'll have to be a bit more patient or talk to your HubSpot customer success manager. (HubSpot support can let you know who that is.)
Best regards!

Hi @AMa4 , if you're still looking for a backup solution, then I recommend checking out Pro Backup for HubSpot. It offers a great user experience that makes it very easy to look up previous versions or to recover and restore data back to your account. You can also sync your data to Google Drive to have an extra fail safe.

There aren't any out-of-the-box features that let you set up automated periodic backups in HubSpot. But you can manually export your records and store them on your computer or an external hard disk.
To get automated smart backups you can use external backup tools such as SysCloud. We have built a solution that can back up 21+ HubSpot objects, such as Contacts, Companies, Deals, Tickets, Landing pages, Blog posts etc, including custom objects.
You also get the granular restore options that allow you to restore an entire object, individual records, or even engagement activities in a record such as notes, call logs, tasks, and so on.
The backed-up data can also be exported in .csv or .xlsx formats.
I hope this helps you 😊
