Auto-populate property based on another property

SOLVE

Hi,

I have had our internal team look into this for you and we have come up with three options for you:

Option 1: Copying a value from a dropdown into a second property via workflow (this option would require no additional cost for you, however it does requires a ton of manual work either on your side of our side that would include a cost).

Option 2: Use Zapier to auto populate the second property (this is the option I would recommend going with, however it will have an additional cost). We know, Zapier charges based on the number of API calls so it's worth mentioning the amount of expected a API calls dependent on the number of contacts they have.

The pricing for Zapier starts at $19.99/ month for 750 tasks (1 task would equate to one contact being updated). This plan would also allow us to connect the HubSpot portal.

Option 3: Custom integration/ middleware. This option would require scoping from a developer and again would come with a cost, likely more expensive than using Zapier.

Let me know if any of thoe options look of interest and we can set-up a call to discuss next steps.

Dear @ElyshaShave ,

thanks for you reply, I hope in the option 3 with a custom code.

If for every feature we pay a service, Hubspot and additional service like Zapier, will cost us a lot of money and so it could be a solution to migrate in a unique platform a bit expensive but with all these features.
I hope to write a code useful to solve.
Thanks

Hi,

I completely understand, are there any further actions you want me to follow-up with? I can book in a chat with the head of the integrations to talk about what's involved, what you'd need and how much it may cost if you're interested?

Ok. But consider that the property in the dropdown has +7000 options and so the autopopulated property must have also +7000 options...
I can share a spreadsheet with all the properties:

Apologies for my late reponse, I have taken some time to think about a possible solution and at this current time I can't think of a way around this other than manually adding them in.

Thanks for your reply. Maybe an integration like this can be done with Apps Script?

Let me talk with our internal team to see whether something like this is possible, would you then be looking for a partner to help you with this integration?

I have added a screenshot of the workflow that you would need to create, if you're able to provide me with the exact properties and drop down options, I can then try and re-create in my own portal.

Auto-populate property based on another property

SOLVE

Hi,

In this case, I would then recommend the workflow I left in my first comment as this will then automatically populate the property you want based on a dropdown option.

Please let me know if you get stuck and I can try and help further.

Auto-populate property based on another property

SOLVE

Hi,

So if you add a contact/company record, when you choose an option in a drop down you want another property to automatically populate based on that first option?

Auto-populate property based on another property

SOLVE

Hi,

I could't see an image attached:

But just to clarify, do you mean you want to populate a property based on another properties drop down options through a workflow inside HubSpot? If so, this is totally possible!

The workflow would look like:

1) Enrolment: Contact/Company/Deal/Ticket Property 'x' is known

2) Next Step: If/Then Branch: 'x' property is any of 'option 1'.

3) Yes Branch: Set property 'x' to 'x'

4) No Branch: If/Then Branch: 'x' property is any of 'option 2'.

5) Yes Branch: Set Property 'x' to 'x'.

6) No Branch: The workflow would then repeat for as many drop down options that you have. If you only wanted to do this for one drop down option, then only follow steps 1-3.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
