Associate multiple contacts with a task

Is there an option to associate more than one contact with a task?  I only see the option to add another deal or company.  It seems most natural that multiple contacts would be associated with many types of tasks, e.g. e-mails with multiple stakeholders, etc.

I'd reccommend commenting with as much detail with your own usecase/goal/roadblock as possible.
