I have a question if possible when we create deals from the deal form even at stage 0 it requires us to add an associated contact for the company. Is it possible to turn off the requirement to add contacts when the deal is stage 0? If so, How would I go about? For some of our early stage deals these may not have a contact associated, but since HubSpot requires one we have been putting placeholders. Is there a way to make this unrequired? I've tried to look in pipeline settings but it does not give this option to edit the required other objects.
I also had this requirement. For me the easiest was to Navigate to CRM> Deals and Click on Create deal. From there you have the option to click on Edit this form:
From here, you can scroll down to the Associations sections. When hovering over an association field, an asterix appear to toggle the requirement

Hi , you can turn this off, go to settings>deals, and see the block highlighted below in the screenshot, here you can edit the fields that are needed to create deal using deal-create form.
Unfortunately, HubSpot requires an associated contact or company for all deals, even in the early stages, so there's no option to turn off this requirement.
As a workaround, many users create placeholder contacts for these early-stage deals until they have the actual contact information. While it’s not ideal, HubSpot currently doesn’t allow removing this association requirement directly.
