Add on for Brands

Hi,

one of our customers wants to purchase the Brands add-on, which is a great opportunity to separate different business units.

I know that I can assign contacts to different brands by using a checkbox property for brands. However, I couldn’t find out whether it’s possible to assign a single contact to multiple brands,

or whether user access can be restricted by brand.

For example, one user should only have access to the contacts and marketing emails of one brand, while another user may need access to two brands.

Is that possible? I couldn’t find any clear information. If not, is there a workaround I can use?

Thanks!

Hello!

Yes, it is possible to assign one contact to multiple brands. (Documentation here)

As far as access goes -- I think you'd need to use teams for this. I don't know of a way to limit access based on brands, but if you have two brands (Brand1 and Brand2), and they have separate sales teams, then you could create a team for each (Brand1 Sales and Brand2 Sales) and limit the users in each team to only be able to access records owned by their team. I recognize that's not exactly what you were hoping for, but I think it could result in the same outcome. It's just that teams and brands would be managed separately.

Hi Kyle, thanks for your help. I was just wondering if there’s a built-in feature like that in HubSpot, but your workaround should do the job. I’ll give it a try.

Hi @CAltindas, I hope you’re well!

I’m glad @KyleJepson’s workaround helped. For now, that’s still the best approach.
