Add column to my line item table in a Quote Template

Hello, brand-new user here! I jumped in the deep end to create a template for my company to use for contracts/Quotes. I have created some products in our product library, and created some custom properties for them, which I would like to display in the quote. However, in the template I'm updating, I don't see my custom properties included in Line Item Table > Select column property. What am I missing?

There are some limitation for No-Code, as per the documentation:

No-code customization

Below are some common examples of customizations you can make without coding, when a template is using one of the default CMS templates:

• Adding text or personalization tokens from contact, company, deal objects to quote (e.g., a VAT number, either as text or as a deal-property).
• Adding default terms and conditions (which can be protected from editing during quote creation).
• Editing logo, fonts, and colors.
• Hiding modules.
• Removing a column from the line items table, or adding a column.
• Removing the Total or Subtotal sections from the line item table.

Hi @KatieKendle, a big warm welcome to HubSpot 🙂

As @BérangèreL mentioned, it's not yet a feature in HubSpot, but if it can help and a segway solution, there's  a native HubSpot app called Portant, which you use to include custom Line Item properties in your Quote template (and you can use an existing template or build one in Google Docs, Word, and so on). It's a common request from many HubSpot users, and we released a feature earlier this year to support this.

I am excited to share that on this similar idea "Create custom properties for quotes" I can see that the work to enable custom properties on Quotes is in early development.
We are aiming to open up a beta in December 2025.

To contribute, you can upvote the existing idea and share more details about your specific use case in the comments.

And I'd recommend that you "follow" this idea so that you get notified when an update is ready.
