Activity is not being displayed under certain companies
SOLVE
I have an issue where emails are not displayed under some companies, but they are displayed under the associated contacts. This is happening with some companies but not others?
When I look at the company view it looks like there are no emails, but then if I click on the associated contact the emails are there. So I know the emails are being logged and I know that the contact is connected to the company. The strange thing is that some companies are working like normal and displaying the activity normally.
Ajy0ne have any insight? This is driving me crazy.

The association, once established, is two-way. I.e., company A is associated with contacts X, Y, and Z. Each of X, Y, and Z are separately associated with the company. What is more likely the case here is that the activities (emails, calls, etc.) are only associated with one object or the other.
I think this depends on whether the association existed at the time when the email was logged to HubSpot. HubSpot will automatically log activities to associated objects in most instances (see this article).
If contacts aren't automatically associating with companies, you can set HubSpot to auto-associate contacts by domain. This works providing you have a domain entered for the company, of course!
Hope this helps.

May sound like a silly question, but have the contacts recently been associated with the company, or had their company association changed?
You will no doubt have seen the option when creating a deal to add timeline activity from the last X days? Well (to my knowledge) this doesn't happen when associating a contact with a company.
The best way to check whether this is an association issue or a weird display issue is to click on one of the emails on the contact. Scroll right down to the bottom of the email and click on the Association dropdown (see below):
Do you see a number in the Companies field?

This was helpful. There was not an association between the contact and the company. Any idea how this happens? When I am on the company page the contacts are associated. So basically the contact is associated with the company, but the company is NOT associated with the contact. Very odd. It is easy to make the association between contact and company, but I still wonder why they were not associated in the first place
