Ability to de-select a few records after "select all"

It seems odd to me that after using the "select all X contacts" (x being the total amount of the view/list), HubSpot currently doesn't let us deselect a few records while keeping all the others selected. Instead, when deselecting individual records after choosing to select all, it reverts to selecting only the first page so no way to say select 297 out of 300 total contacts in a view/list.
