Adding two rich text columns (Side-by-side) in full width landing page layout.

Hello,

 I have a full width landing page and would like to have two rich text columns to appear side-by-side.  like this:

Should I do this with HTML or is there a way to split a row into columns without using the Design Manager? And if I have to use the design manager, I can clone the base template, but don't know how to divide a row in half. Please give me some pointers.

You can do that with in template.. Just drag and drop the module in the half area.
