I have made a website and connected a namecheap domain to it;
The thing is that without www, if I type just the url Hubspot gives me error
"This Page isn't available"
So I wrote to namecheap support they helped me set up an alias for the web; it clearly gets to hubspot server (before it did not) but the problem remains on hubspot that the requested website is not getting rendered;
@Tornike yes, you add that long hubspot.net URL as the value for your WWW CNAME. For the redirect, you should add your www domain, not the hubspot.net url. e.g.:
DNS Records for example.com:
CNAME: www > 123123.group.sites.hubspot.net
Redirect Record: @ > www.example.com
I'd reach out to your DNS if the redirect record doesn't work.
Hello, I have the same issue, is there a Nov 2023, version of this fix? My www and naked domain don't work, only the pages with the language at the end /es /en-usa, etc. how do I get the main/naked/root domain to connect to hubspot?
You can also add the naked domain as a redirect domain inside of hubspot. Then, you simply have to add two A records with a host '@' pointing to the IP address that Hubspot gives you.
@Tornike the root domain aka "naked" domain needs to be forwarded to the www subdomain. In Namecheap you should have an option in the Advanced DNS to add a "URL Redirect Record", then you can use the @ symbol to reference the root/naked domain, and have it redirect to the www url.
Sure I tried that, but the thing is that the website address that hubspot provides (something like http://123123.group123.sites.hubspot.net/) works for CNAME record,
but it gives me an error on namecheap when I try to add the "URL redirect record".
So I added the "ALIAS record" with @ but still nothing works.
