adding background color for a module

Hi 

I am attaching screenshot of my template and I want to give blue background color to what we do section. I have entered the following code in my css:

.whoweare{
background-color: blue;
}

and attached this class to that particular module but it doesnt get applied. Please help.

Hi @poojanadkarni1   While you can add background color via custom class, it's propably eaiser to add inline styling directly to the module in the Design manager, if it's just one module you want to add color. 

Your screenshot didn't get attached so I can't help you further.

Can you please help me why my menu doesnt come as dropdown?I have attached the screenshot of my page and want under menu item WHO WE ARE, I have 2 submenu items. These should be displayed as dropdown.
