for a client I would like to find out, if it is possible to change the order of the language and country slug in the URL. And if it makes sense at all. HubSpot is giving us this possibility: www.example.com/en-au/pagename I would like to change it to: --> www.example.com/au-en/pagename So first the country and then the language is displayed in the URL. Vice versa it would .com/ch-it/pagename or .com/fi-en/pagename.
Thanks a lot in advance for your thoughts on that!
I would recommend leaving it as language_country as it follows ISO standards (ISO 639-1 I believe).
Truthfully I am not certain as to what impact it would have to switch them, but if there are standards identified and the impact wouldn't be obvious I typically wouldn't advise going against those standards.

Hi @KatiZimmermann , i agree with @Josh ! I am sure it is not possible to change it, but i would also not do it. Google and other tools (semrush, ahrefs etc...) that analyse Link Structures are depending on the structure set in the Standard. Also, if HubSpot for some reason decides to change something in the future, every page that has followed the standard will be smoothly migrated to whatever change it may be. However, the pages that don´t follow this will be ignored / need to manually changed which can result in a lot of work.
Can you please tell us the reasoning behind this change from your client?
