Our website keeps getting major dings for speed. There are speed improvement tactics that HubSpot doesn't support, one example would be, Gzip. Another issue is lazy loading images. This tactic is possible but would cause us to lose support on the templates that we utilize.
Hubspot currently doesn't allow much customization on the server side of things and not much more on the front end.
Check out this thread. We are going to be exploring implementing a variety of updates soon, including optimizing the images and looking at lazy load but doing it through scripting.
