Suggestions for client scenario - http rss feed

SOLVE

We have a client that has a wordpress site hosted on Flywheel. They would like to migrate their site to Hubspot CMS but have a couple of custom scenarios that need to be addressed. The first one is having a few custom folders that are repositories for software related downloads (.exe, .sql, etc.). These could be moved to either Hubpost Files or one of the major 3rd party cloud storage services.

However, the second issue is not so easily solved. They have a rss feed setup that only currently functions using http. The rss feed connects to their software. Once a month, due to Flywheel scripts, the "force https" flag get turned on and breaks the rss feed. We have to go in and turn off the flag. For obvious reasons, we are assuming that Hubspot will force everything in CMS to be https. We can't move the site to CMS and leave the rss feed on Flywheel due to the domain moving into Hubspot.

Looking for suggestions on how we might handle this. Our preference is for the client to fix the issue on their side so that the rss feed will work on https. However, if they are not willing to do that at this time, it's obviously going to prevent them from migrating to CMS. And maybe that's the only solution until they correct it on their end.

Thanks,

Terry McMillan

Hey @tmcmillan99 ,

In your Hubspot settings if you go to Website > Domain & URLs and click Edit > Update domain security settings you can uncheck "Require HTTPS" and Hubspot will stop redirecting HTTP links.
