Is this supported? In the last review step I am getting ‘Source code is invalid’ with no extra explanation?

Hey @NoruLabs

React Themes are currently not supported to be uploaded to the marketplace.

A few reasons for this (not confirmed by HS):

  • CMS React was made publically available in March/April this year (2025)
  • Due to the current setup, they're not available in the Design-Manager and therefore not non-dev friendly
  • React themes are a very niche thing in HubSpot as the editor/marketer doesn't really benefits from a React Theme compared to a HubL theme

History wise, my best quess that React themes might become available in the marketplace is Q3/Q4 of 2026 if not even 2027.

When HubSpot introduced Themes back in 2020 and replaced Template packs, they were made available in the marketplace around 2021 or 2022 (don't remember exactly).

I also think that with React themes it will take longer as with HubL themes because HubSpot needs to make sure no malicious code will ever hit a portal and there are tons of things HubSpot has to check and set to a potential white-/blacklist of code and potential packages.

best,

Anton
