The list contains only one contact with an email address matching the google account I am trying to log in with.
I added the destination URL to "Authorized Redirect URIs" in the Client ID settings in Google
I got the Google login button to show up and generate the login box when clicked.
Able to submit the Google login pop up form.
After submitting Google account login credentials, the page simply refreshes to the main login screen ...website.com/_hcms/mem/login?redirect_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwebsite.com%2Fyour-gated-page
If I click "Sign in" again, it then produces that same login popup but now its showing me as already logged in (just provides an option to sign in with a different account) - so that part seems to work. I just cannot get past this login screen.
The help article was created in August 27, 2021 - so would like to know at least whether something may have changed since then or I am doing something wrong.

The help article title probably adds some confusion here with the word "social" in it. Confimring that we are not trying to add Google Plus, but the ability to sign in with a Google account, which should not require SSO.
For example, Loom has options to Sign in with Google in addition to SSO:
I heard from one HubSpot support rep that, to their knowledge, the article instructions should still be valid. After further digging and exploration, I finally got it to work!
If anyone runs into the same problem - the issue appears to be that I was trying to do this on a developer test account.
I tried on a real HubSpot portal with a real domain connected and it worked fine there (as of February 2024).

Yes, miniOrange has a easy to use solution for this. you can useminiOrange's Single Sign-On (SSO) for HubSpotapp'sEnterprise SSOfeature to configure as many Identity Providers you want includint the social providers like Google, Facebook, Apple, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. and many more. You can read more fromhere.
You can reach out tohubapps@xecurify.com to contact miniOrange app team to help you out for for your requirements.
@evaldas it sounds like you're trying to allow access to membership pages via Google Account login, not Google Social login.
The Social login documentation is from 2021, when there was Google Plus - it was for Facebook or Google Plus login, not SSO using a Google account login.
You'd need to configure SSO with Okta or OneLogin (Google Workspace accepts both)
