When Google shut down it's Custom Search service HubSpot created it's own that you can use in the Design Manager. There's a good detailed article about it here.
It essentially breaks down search into Search Input and Search Results modules so you can place them on a given page. They also include a template Results page you can use and style it to your uses.
As for configuring the query that's up to how your pages are set up. Without getting into the HTML your title is what gets read by the search so make sure it's relevant and try to avoid duplicates. Your URL will auto match the Title unless it can't for some reason. Outside of that just make sure to click the hide from search results for any pages you want hidden. (Form Gated Stuff, Internal Docs etc.)
