I’m reaching out because both a customer and I are experiencing an odd issue with a Saved Section, and I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered this, if it’s a HubSpot issue, or if there’s something wrong with the module.
I created a module and posted it in the Marketplace (following best practices and it was reviewed before going live). When both a customer and I try to save it as a section from the page editor where the module is used, the section seems to be saved properly but the same saved section doesn’t appear on other pages.
I can still see the saved section on the page where it was saved, even after logging out and back in. However, when I try to create a new page (same account, same theme), the section doesn't appear in the Saved Sections list.
Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas on how to resolve it?
I have experienced some weirdness with saved sections before, and unfortunately, I was unable to pinpoint the root cause. Have you tried adding another module to your section and then saving that? Does it work with another module and not just yours? If it works but not with your module. Could you explain what your module is and the features it has?
Are you a developer by chance?
If so, what worked for me was to copy the section HubL and create a section using the CLI. This reported some issues with the formatting of the code and I was able to correct it there and then re-upload.

@Jake_Lett I've tested what you mentioned about adding another module to the section and seems to be working fine.
The interesting thing is that now saving a section just with my module seems to work. So I'm wondering if it was a temporary error on HubSpot's side.
Anyway, I like the idea of copying the section HubL and creating it via CLI, good way of debugging stuff like this! Thanks for sharing! (And yes, I'm a developer 🙂).
Hey, @albertsg👋 I hope all has been great for you. It's a tough one to troubleshoot without being able to “see” it in action. Hey @Anton@Bryantworks@Teun@Jake_Lett, do you have any thoughts for our friend @albertsg?
