Reading meetings data in custom module

Hi all!

I want to build a module that reads all meetings scheduled for a special user in our HubSpot account and shows it as an event listing on a landing page. 

I tried solving this via an API call within the custom module but got a CORS error, then I considered serverless functions as a possibility but also read that API keys can't be used any longer soon. When I tested creating a private app, there was no possibility to choose to read from engagements.

I'm quite confused but I suspect that there is a solution to this that is a little bit easier?
