Raw HTML to HubL.

Hi!

I am not a developer and as such, am trying to create a simple document that explains how to convert raw HTML for an email, not a website, so I can both understand how it gets done and share it with my developer. 

I attempted to lay this out here but it only confused my developer further. In response to my sending it, he forwarded this doc. Is there anyone out there that can help me with this in plain English? I am really desperate and don't know what else to do. Thank you in advance for any help you may offer.
