Quote templates deleted or modified by HubSpot System
My quote templates have been subjected to transformations by HubSpot System several times without explanation. The first few times, I was able to roll back the changes to a later version.
However, yesterday, after cloning a quote template several times and modifying the clones, they magically disappeared overnight. Several hours of lost work.
Is there an explanation for all this, please? Is it possible to recover these deleted templates?
Never experienced that files were deleted automatically. There are only two reasons coming to my mind, why this could happen
Your template somehow violated some auto validations that were released at some point recently (not sure if there are any - just an assumption)
It's a HubSpot cache thing. Sometimes when you work in the Design-Manager and save very frequently (i.e several times per minute), it can lead to a caching error inside HubSpot which might result in the fact that the file "disappears"
There are a few things you can try:
Look into the "trash can", which can be found here: Design-Manager -> View -> Recently deleted files
Open up a ticket and ask the Support team nicely to take a look into the system and clear the cache or restore the potentially deleted file
If you have a local development setup, try fetching the whole design-manager with something
^ the "--account=YOUR-HUB-ID" is only required if you want to fetch something from a different portal than your default one(if you have several portals in your config.yml file)

I don't think the problem is with the HubSpot cache; the folders were deleted overnight. Furthermore, the very first template used to clone the other 8 was updated by "HubSpot System" (only the translation files) but wasn't deleted. I think there's a connection.
The list of deleted files only shows a few dozen files, and my templates represented far too many files to be restored one by one.
Unfortunately, I had only worked with the HubSpot Design Manager... Note that even HubSpot couldn't tell me the reason for this problem.
I redid everything locally and created a backup, but it's still a few hours lost.
PS: Beyond file deletions, HubSpot System often overwrites template files in my sandboxes. But I can always restore them to a previous version. I don't think that happened in production.
