Preview page not HTTPS

SOLVE

Hi, for some of our new customer accounts there is an issue when you preview a page from the CMS editor and then click on the link to open the link in a new tab. The opened tab is http and not https. Therefore javascripts and other things cannot work as they should. This is very annoying and you always wonder what is wrong. In my opinion, the error only occurs as long as no domain is linked and the corresponding Hubspot domain ([customerID].hs-sites-eu1.com) is used. It does not occur with older systems and my DEV account.
Even if you open the preview from the overview, the tab opens correctly with https. Tested with the current version of Chrome and Firefox to rule out a browser-specific problem.

Hi @markusschmidt thanks for sharing, this is really hard to diagnose without being able to recreate it or inspect it directly. Best option here would be contacting technical support to see if they can pinpoint what's happening. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

@markusschmidt I'm not seeing this same behavior in a new account, is there a specific javascript you're adding that is being blocked? can you share a screenshot from the dev console of the error?

The error messages are mainly cross-origin errors. If you load the page via https:// they are gone.

Hello @markusschmidt, this seems like a bug on HubSpot's side. Did you contact their support to report the issue? Maybe it's affecting more customers 🤔
