Newsletter email formatting strangely in Gmail app

Our weekly newsletter has been formatting strangely in the Gmail app lately. Has anyone else noticed this or know how to fix it? Both my designer and I are stumped.

Is it looking like the attached image? I just started seeing this today. You need to tap the ellipsis to see the two sentences of copy. (@@)
