Looking to make a Search Results Page

Hi community,

I am trying to create my search results page, but when I click on new file, I do not have the option for drag and drop as indicated in this guide. https://knowledge.hubspot.com/design-manager/set-up-a-results-page-to-use-a-search-field-on-your-sit...

What should I select?

Thank you.

Looking to make a Search Results Page

Hi @MScheffel the documentation you linked to is out of date, it shows the old coded template files and it's not referencing the new way of creating a search results page in a theme.

This article in the developer documentation is more accurate, but it would require a developer if you aren't familiar with coding in HubSpot.

Most themes available include a search resutls page, are you coding your own theme or trying to create a custom template in an existing theme?

Looking to make a Search Results Page

Hi there, thank you for your quick response. Our search bar doesn't show
any results so I thought I had to make a page? But I guess that doesn't
make sense because a page shows up, there are just no results. I guess my
question now is, how do I get results in my search?

Looking to make a Search Results Page

@MScheffel you're welcome! you can check your search results page URL here:

1 - in your HubSpot Settings > Website > Pages

2 - click the system pages tab at the end

3 - at the bottom, you'll see the URL used for the search results page and the template

For example, this is our search results page: https://www.maka-agency.com/hs-search-results

You can see it's also blank, but if you use the search in the header from any of our pages, then the search results page won't be blank anymore:

As far as how to get search results to show on the page, do you have search incorporated into your header or somewhere else on your website where users can access it?

You'll most likely need to check the theme settings and/or header settings to see if there are any search settings.

Do you have a page published with search that you can share?
