Link Color Text - Changing/Over-riding

Trying to adjust the text color in a custom template for an email- there is a module that is linked to a webpage and the copy in that module keeps displaying blue linked text color (#15c) but unable to find the line in the style sheet where this color can be overridden. Any ideas ?

Hi @bh2,

Either of the approaches listed in this document should help you out: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/articles/kcs_article/email/how-do-i-change-the-color-of-links-in-my-em...

Link Color Text - Changing/Over-riding

The exact same thing is happening to my emails, down to the specific changing link color to #15c. This seems to be specific to Gmail browser experience — I tested in Chrome, Explorer, and Firefox, all with the same result of changing the link color (and ignoring text-decoration:none;).

The CSS method of changing the link color is ignored.

Link Color Text - Changing/Over-riding

Hi Angela, thanks so much for your suggestion. I am not sure if I can give it a shot on my template as it is a template created by an outisde contractor and not through hubspot. But if you think it should still work I will try it?!

If the text color icon in the email editor doesn't change the email (the first part of that article I posted), then there's something in the template that's coded in a way to prevent that from happening. You'd need to modify the template if that's the case. If you didn't create the template, could you ask your contractor about making that change to the template?
