Inline image in rich text section in marketing email

Hello,

I'm newish to Hubspot but not at all new to email marketing.  For the most part I love Hubspot's email marketing tools, but I'm frustrated with it this morning. I'm working on an email and I would like to have an inline image appear in a block of text. Yet I see no way of doing that. I tried typing in the HTML code manually but the source code editor keeps stripping it. I know I can drag and drop an image but that won't place it inline; the image is meant to be small so having it appear all on its own would nullify the intended use of the image. The block of code I want to add the image to is already in a 2-column layout so I can't nest another 2-column layout inside it.

Am I missing something here? I really wish there was an option in Hubspot to trust a designer's use of HTML. I've skirted the issue by using an emoji instead of an image but of course using an emoji has its own set of problems. The image isn't essential; it's just a quality-of-design type of thing. I am just hoping I missed the option somewhere.

Hi @BradDemers ,

I think i'm having the same problem now and landed in your post. Can I know how did you solve it or which code are you using?

@jennysowyrda I'd like to have a single module/content box for image+text intead of drag and drop a module next to the other. The point is that i want the image+text to be inline like it's seen in the picture that i attach in a same module because for some screens there's a line break being in different modules and the image appears on top of the text block and everything looks unstructured then. Thanks in advanced 🙂hubspot-modules.JPG

Hi @BradDemers,

I would like to begin by apologizing in the delay in responding to your inquiry. Are you still looking for assistance with this matter?

The best way to ensure a quick response on the Community is to include links, screenshots and specific examples of where you are getting stuck.

The more information, screenshots, and details you can provide, the better the Community can assist!

Thank you,
Jenny

Hi Jenny,

No response is needed; I figured it out myself.

I've switched to using the Custom HTML design module in these sorts of circumstances. I can even make the text look as intended using the text module tool and then copy & paste the HTML code into the Custom HTML block and add images where needed. Thanks though 🙂

I think at first I didn't see the additional drag & drop modules in the HTML editor. The Custom HTML module should probably not be hidden behind a "+"  but that's just my opinion 🙂

It would be a lot better though if you could just copy and paste and image into the email body in the block of text. I cant put screenshots into my meeting notes, which is super not cool.

Honestly, I am paying for this software. But maybe I should be paying for a different one.
