HubDB - Insert a row into a table using Hubl?

Is it possible to insert a row into a HubDB table using Hubl i.e. via a custom module? I can only see methods to extract rows from a table.

I can see this can be done via the HubDB API but I can't see how this will work from a custom module due to permissioning issues.

Did you find an answer? I'm trying to figure out HubDb, coming from a MySql environment..
I'm building a custom module, where I need to retrieve selected data from the contacts database and insert into a HubDb table to make it publicly accessible on a web-page. 
Is the answer "use the API"? 🙂

Hey @Mark1 could you elobarate on what you mean by 'permissioning issues'? 

I don't beleive what you are asking is possible.

I was planning to use Javascript + API in a custom module but API requests need to be server based (due to authentication requirements).
