Hide tag in blog listing

Hi, is there a way to hide one tag from blog listing? I would like that the blog posts with one particular tag doesn't appear on the page of the blog. I found out how to do that, but the problem is that making it I have less posts on every pages.
For example, I have 12 blog post for page, I want hide tag “automotive”, and I have this tag on 3 blog post on first page. If I hide the tag I will see only 9 post for the page, instead of 12 with the older posts without the tag that would be the ideal.
Is there a solutions?

Are you programming in html ? (then it's possible)

Are you using the blog template (doubt it's possible, but best check with support) )
