Have Header menu link to an anchor on a specific page.

Hello - Is there a way for me to have a link in my main menu to direct to a n anchor on a pecifc page? 

I'm working in the Global Content Editor, but no luck so far. I'm wondering if there is more to it, or even possible.

Change the link type to external and type or copy/paste the URL you want to link with the anchor id included as a hash e.g. https://www.example.com/my-page#anchor
