Good Hubspot Website templates for fast load times

Hi all,

We have a current Hubspot website using a template purchased from the marketplace. We are finding it has slow load speeds and it is starting to cause us problems. Does anyone know how we can build a website within hubspot that would give faster load times eg with the ability to defer image loading? Are there some templates that are better than others - what should we be looking for?

We need to able able to manage the build ourselves (which seemed to be a benefit of using Hubspot in the first place!)

we have in the past but had little support form them.

We are trying to understand, if we were to engage a different template would we encounter the same problem? can we fix the current to give us the page speeds we need? Or do we need to build a template on an external platform such as wordpress? Any help we've asked for so far from Hubspot has been really limited to - it is what it is!
