GZIP compression not enabled on coded files

Does anboyd know why GZIP compression is not enabled on custom coded files (js)?

The main Hubspot site uses GZIP so no problems there.

Google page speed test has picked this up as a recmomendation. It seems odd that this is not enabled.

You can add your js reference to your coded file here to test.

Cheers,

Mark

Hi @Mark1 Apolgies that no one has reached out yet.

Our dev team has confirmed that this is indeed a thing, and that JS delivery where gzip is concerned could be improved. It's on our docket, but as of now higher priority issues take precedence. If you'd like to reach out again in a few months, we may be able to give you a yes/no update. You can also add your feedback to our ideas forum (click Ideas on the main community page).

Hi Ed,

Any update here?

We're consistently seeing GZIP compression as one of our biggest page-speed issues.

Thanks,
Brandon
