I'd like to modify the email subscription form so that the button is the right of the form and I'd like to change the design of the button.
Also, can you have more than one form for the same blog? I'd like to put one in our footer but that would look different than the one on the blog page.

Seems like both of these are template level questions. In each case you'd have to edit the template to make it work.
You can have as many forms on a page as you'd like. If you put a form in the footer of the template and put a module in the sidebar for another form, you can get them in there.
