Content Changed (lost) after updating modul

hi,

i got some strange effect which i don`t understand.

i have had an imagemodul which i used in email.
after a while we updated that modul with an link.
that also worked fine - BUT all images that where used before in emails where lost and replaced by the definied placeholder. i got no idea why.

You can always Clone that module and save as is, then revert the original back via "Revisions" to where it was before you added the link. 

Honestly, I'm not sure exactly what you mean by added link, etc. but this process should work no matter what.

probably i was not exactly enough with my question.

i have had an (email) module for a picture - which was used for a while (worked well).
we decided then to add the possebility to add an link (https...) to the picture in the module (worked well too).

but then we have seen that references of all pictures that are placed in with the first version of the module are lost (gone away and replaced by the placeholder) - allthough the id of the module not have changed (just updated with the possebility to add link)

and i got no idea why this happens.
