Changes to Email Background-Color in HTML not taking

Hi All,

I have been trying to update a specific email's background color as per the instructions in this Hubspot Kowledge base post: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/articles/kcs_article/email/how-do-i-change-the-background-color-for-a-...

The problem is that when I replace background color token with a hex code (for example #5E5E5E) I get the following error message:
"TemplateSyntaxException: Error parsing '#5E5E5E': lexical error at position 2, encountered invalid character '#', expected expression token.

I tried removing the # but that did not resolve the problem.  I also tried using the color's name in hopes that it would be a recognized token, but that didn't work.

I would greatly appreciate some direction on this.  Thanks 🙂

Hi @McWEng  For some reason, the templated is not accepting the hex code. Can you let me know the name of hte email in question? I'll head in to your portal and see what I can find out.

Thank you,

Ed Justen
