Can we restrict what modules goes in Flexible Column?

I know despite what it's called I was wondering if we could restrict what module we could include in Flexible Column?

This could prevent non dev users from breaking the layout by adding all kinds of modules to the flexible columns.

Unfortunately not, The best way would be to label your flex columns specifically for what they are intended to have in them.
