CTA does not count submissions via forms API

We have created a CTA button which linkes to a custom form. Form submission is done by the Hubspot Forms API (https://api.hsforms.com/submissions/v3/integration/submit).

It seems these submissions are not reflected in the CTA performance as the submission happened via an API call.

Is this an intended behaviour, or do we miss something?

This seems correct.  Are you getting any data returned when someone clicks the CTA?

In my view, these are two unique actions.  There might be a way to connect them that your new friend @Josh  can speak to?  ( Sorry for the back to back tags @Josh !)
