Blog: Drop-Down Menu Linking to Wrong URL- HTTP vs. HTTPS

SOLVE

Hello HubSpot Dev Team,

I reached out to support recently as I noticed the logo icon on my HubSpot hosted blog was linking to an outdated version of my company webpage that is no longer active. This was due to the fact that the associated URL was HTTP as opposed to the correct HTTPS. This was able to be edited within the global header for the icon, however, the drop-down menu URLs cannot be edited due to lack of access to the HTML through the design manager.

My wonderful support agent was able to confirm this was the issue, as the HTTPS can be fixed when inspecting the page, but not edited on the back-end.

Here is a video showing the issue

How can I update the HTTP URLs assocaited with my blog drop-down menu to HTTPS so they redirect properly to my site, and do not take users to outdated and incorrect information?

Please help!

Blog: Drop-Down Menu Linking to Wrong URL- HTTP vs. HTTPS

SOLVE

Hello @eschoenagel,

Thank you so much for the clarification! In order to lead all traffics from your blog's navigation bar to lead to https urls opposed to http urls, you just have to add it in your website navigation settings. This can be accessed by going into your Settings > Website > Navigation. Your 2017 header site map navigation items are all linked to http urls, just need to change them to https items and publish the navigation setting! If you need more information about changing your navigation items, please take a look at the article here.

Cheers,

Chuck
