Act Theme - 5-Col Rich Text

SOLVE

Need you help with "Act Theme - Col Rich Text". I've cloned "Act Theme - 4-Col Rich Text" and made 5-Col from it, but the fifth column slips a line below. Can I make it the same line? Thank you.

Act Theme - 5-Col Rich Text

SOLVE

@Nataliya,

I have used the Act Theme before. It is a very well created theme but in making it the creators have overwritten some basic drag and drop functionality. Your using the 4 column but you added a 5th column to it and that 5 column is dropping below the original 4 columns on the page?

Most likely that is because they wrote specific css tied to specific classes on the default 4 column modules that make each of those 4 columns exactly 25% of the content area.

Hubspots css does this as well, but dynamically changes classes to accomodate new additions to the row. Act Theme doesn't expect or accomodate additions so adding a 5th column to the row will not make each column 20% of the content area, it will just keep the original 4 columns at the 25% width and the 5th column you added will default to hubspots css. Hubspot runs on a 12 column grid system, which isn't divisible by 5 so I would image that your 5th colum was at lease 2 or 3 columns giving it a span2 or span3 class from hubspots css so even though it dropped to the next row it isn't full width of the content area, right?

The only way to fix this is to either remove Act Themes classes on the columns, which might take away more than just width settings, or go into the Act Theme css and add/edit the width settings for the columns to accomodate your 5th column.

Hi @Nataliya Welcome to the community.  I'm not sure how far we can help as you are altering a theme created by a HubSpot Partner. It might be best to go through them for support, however, I'll be happy to look at your template. Can you provide a link via a PM?

Thank you,

Ed
