I created a single page website and am trying to publish it with the domain URL. When I publish, I got an error 'A page already exists at <domain URL>'.
The baffling thing is when I check website pages, there is only one exists and that is the one that I'm trying to publish.
Just for everyone's awareness, I spoke with @LZhou7 and we established that the reason for the blog page to be picked up, and hence the initial glitch, was because the portal has a basic account. Within the basic account, when connecting a domain, there's no way to separate the content types. This meant that all content types were published on the main domain - website pages, landing pages, blogs, etc. This meant that when the first blog article was added, it was added on the root domain, as opposed to on a subdomain or in a folder. This meant that the system "assumed" the page was the homepage. Therefore, when an actual page was created and attempted to be made the homepage, Hubspot didn't allow the page to be published.
I hope that helps someone else in the future, too 🙂

But you never said how you fixed the problem. I can't publish my page now. Initially after connecting my domain I had a 404 error. After unpublishing it won't let me republish now. I ONLY have 1 page and it's a Website page. I don't have a Landing page or a blog page. I only created 1 page. Publishing says thers is an error, but no errors are listed. Please help. This is very frustrating, I'm close to finding an alternate provider as it should not be this hard to create a page and connect a domain and have a working website in an hour or less. I've spent days on this now. Please provide direction on how to fix this issue.
Hi @Rokitman while you don't have any blog posts published, when you connect your domain it automatically holds the root domain for the blog listing page until you change the blog slug.
This post is a similar issue and has the answer for how to resolve it, I'm happy to help if you have trouble.

Have you checked with a DNS propagator tool, e.g. https://dnschecker.org/ that the domain is resolving with the Hubspot servers? Also, is it possible that you have both website and landing pages that are on the same domain and they are "fighting"?
Is there any way you can send me a screen recording (can do it on DM for privacy), so I can see exactly what's happening and if there's an error, etc.
Thank you, Eli. I did find the problem regarding the issue I posted above. The existing page is under the blog listing pages within the site navigator.
However, while debugging the above issue, I deleted my DNS primary domain from Hubspot when mistakenly believed it was a DNS issue. When I tried to verify them again, it failed. Here is my workflow:
1. Add primary domains.
2. When Hubspot showed me my DNS records (two A records and one CNAME record), go to my GoDaddy account and make sure they are added. Since I have succeeded in doing this before, all three records already existed in GoDaddy.
3. After 48 hours, the Hubspot site shows "we found 1 error in your DNS record - missing records".
4. I talked to the GoDaddy side of the representative and asked what could be wrong, and they verified the three records I provided were already updated on their side.
Can you please shine some light on this situation? Thanks!
@LZhou7 you can try completely removing from HubSpot and starting over, it could be that it didn't propogate your initial change before you tried again.

I tried your suggestion by removing the connections and starting all over again. However, I am having the same issue. All three records exist in my GoDaddy account and I don't know what else can I do at this point.
@LZhou7 I'm sorry that didn't work - are you on a paid plan? If so, I recommend reaching out directly to HubSpot technical support to see if they can offer further guidance.
