Smart Properties: Customize Your Data Intelligence

 

Smart properties gives you the power to create custom AI-powered properties that automatically gather specific information about companies for your specific business needs, empowering your teams to qualify prospects faster and more accurately.

 

The Value:

  • Qualify prospects faster and more accurately with custom data points tailored to your business
  • Target and customize outreach via your website and email marketing
  • Use smart properties in workflows, lists, and reports just like any other property
  • Create a unified customer view with exactly the data points you need

 

Use Cases:

  • Qualifying prospects based on custom criteria (e.g., "Does this company sell shoes online?")
  • Geographic targeting (e.g., "Does this company have offices in Latin America?")

How It Works:

Create a new property, from the companies index page add a column and select "Add Smart Fill," and enter your specific question prompt. AI will search the web and existing CRM data to populate these fields automatically. You can run smart properties on multiple records at once from the company index page.

Conversational Enrichment: Your Self-Healing CRM

 

Conversational enrichment helps create a "self-healing CRM" by automatically extracting and updating valuable contact information from unstructured data in everyday email communications.

 

The Value:

  • Reduce manual data entry while improving data accuracy
  • Passively update and expand CRM records in the background
  • Address data decay issues that plague CRMs without additional effort
  • Ensure customer information remains fresh and accurate

 

Use Cases:

  • Email Contact Enrichment: Automatically update contact properties from email signatures
  • Returning to Office Date Detection: Identify when contacts will return from being out of office
  • New Contact Extraction: Create new contact records for people mentioned in out-of-office emails

How It Works:

Enable these features in Settings > Data Management > Data Enrichment > Tools. You can choose any combination of the four conversational enrichment capabilities. Once activated, the system works in the background, continuously improving your data quality without any manual effort from your team.

Research Intent: Identify Prospects Earlier Than Ever

 

While HubSpot's existing visitor intent identifies companies showing interest by visiting your website (consideration phase), research intent identifies companies researching relevant topics online before they ever reach your site (awareness phase).

  • Leverage HubSpot's massive intent ecosystem of 250,000 opted-in websites
  • Expand your total addressable market and create new pipeline opportunities

How It Works:

Go to the buyer intent page and click the "Research" tab. Add topics directly (here or in the configuration tab) or let the system analyze your website content to suggest relevant topics. You can track up to 20 topics per portal. Filter results by research level, visitor intent crossover, target market, and other criteria to find the most promising opportunities. Then add these companies to your CRM, enroll them in workflows, or take other actions.
