Hello, there are hubspot tracking url parameters on my website that I don't know where they came from. I can't find the source. We don't have any hubspot integrations yet we take it. Thanks in advance to those who will help.

Hi @KBi1,

hssc and hstc are analytics cookies. These are set for visitors to a site supported by HubSpot, permitting that they accept the cookie banner, see here: https://knowledge.hubspot.com/privacy-and-consent/what-cookies-does-hubspot-set-in-a-visitor-s-brows...

Are you using HubSpot pages or have the HubSpot tracking code installed?

Best regards!

Hi @KBi1

Both options would work.

However, as I mentioned in my original reply, deactivating this option can lead to conversion and source information being skewed. The whole point of cross domain tracking is to cover the following, very common scenario:

  • I land on website A to read an article after a Google Search
  • I click a link that takes me to a landing page to complete a form

With cross-domain tracking my conversion on the landing page will correctly attribute my Google Search visit as organic source. With cross-domain tracking switched off, my conversion on the landing page will count as referral, which strictly speaking would be incorrect.

Hi @KBi1

Could you maybe provide some more context?

What exactly are you seeing? Where are you seeing it?

Thanks

Frank

This happens when cross-domain linking
<>
is activated in your account.
See this community article

for reference.

Normally that is something you would want to happen, in order to
capture the complete visitor journey.

I hope that helps.

Normally we dont use HubSpot directly, this is an integration with third party organization. So,
There is a two option here. If I ask them to delete us(kolaybi.com) from this area, will it be solved?
Or, If they ''turn-off'' cross-domain linking field,  will it be end?
Or should we do both transactions ind order to solve it?
