Why Hubspot add "/" after each link? Is it possible to remove it?

Hello,

We're working with a SEO agency and they suggest us to remove the / after some pages, but I couldn't remove it. Is it something HS adds on purpose?

Example.

example.com/blog/ but they suggest we should implement example.com/blog

The trailing slash denotes a directory, while non-/ denotes a file.

Usually, it's not a big deal as long as they both have the same content and you set up canonicals correctly. If you don't set up canonicals correctly, you'll run into duplicate content issues. And sometimes it can become an issue if your website is really big and then it can impact your crawl budget.

Here's a Google article if you want to learn more: https://developers.google.com/search/blog/2010/04/to-slash-or-not-to-slash
