Trouble publishing website

resolver

Hi all! I'm having trouble publishing my webpage using a free HubSpot account. My domain is with GoDaddy and I think I've connected everything correctly. If I click the link in Hupspot I see my page, but if I type my domain in the address bar I get a "page not found" message. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Hi @UltraViolet ,

The slug determines on what URL your page can be visited.

So let's say you connected example.com as your domain and the slug of your page is set as 'home'.

That means your page can be visited on example.com/home

If you leave the slug empty, your page can be visited on example.com/

So without anything behind the domain name.

If you create a second page and the slug is set to 'about-us', that page can be visited on example.com/about-us

You can still edit the slug after you created and published the page.

Thank you for posting your question/issue. The solution you received solved my issue, which was quite different.  Error was Cloudflare 1003. I've been working on this issue for 2 days, glad it was something simple and easy after all.  I've posted the screen cap. Hope this helps someone get to a quick solution.

This was incredibly helpful thank you so much as I had the same issue and struggled for more than a week not realizing this was the issue.  Now I can see it and some others can, but others report still getting the error messages - is that just a "caching" issue.  The other issue I now have is that it is not showing up at all on mobile - for me or for any one else.  What is that about?

Hi, I have been struggling with the same problem.  If you go to www.domain name/pagename you'll see the page.  I think it might have something to do with the home page setting?

Hi @PhilKirkham ,

In that case you want to empty the slug for the homepage 🙂

Hi @UltraViolet ,

Few things come to mind:

1. If you go to Settings > Website > Domain & URL's, does it show that your domain is connected?

2. If you edit your website page in HubSpot, and you go to the settings tab, is your domain set to the correct domain you connected and is the slug what you expected?

3. If the above is all correct, did you publish your page?

4. If that doesn't work, did you create your page through content staging or directly from the website pages UI?

Thank you for your answers!
1.  Yes it shows it's connected

2.  It's set to the correct domain.  The slug looks maybe like the title I gave the page in HubSpot when I created it.  I don't really know what a slug is or what it does, so I don't know what to expect here.

3.  I did publish it

4.  I created it from the website pages
