SSL Activation not happening despite DNS record amends
SOLVE
Hello, I have started a free account and trying to setup a website for my domain www.ninakathrin.com and ninakathrin.com. I have updated my DNS and verified the domain in HubSpot, under settings > Domains & URLs. HubSpot is reporting the following:
"SSL activation for www.ninakathrin.com is complete. Your website is secure."
and
"SSL activation for ninakathrin.com is processing. Stay tuned, it may take up to 4 hours to complete"
It's been showing these messages for over 24 hours now.
I have already contaced my domain provider HostGator again to update my DNS according to a remedy you suggested for another user with the same issue:
"
If you have not done it yet, in your DNS provider, please access your CAA record. - Edit the CAA record to include Google Trust Services with a flag, a tag, and a value: flag: 0 tag: issue value: pki.goog
The record should read: 0 issue ‘pki.goog’ " But when I contacted HostGator, they said they had limited access to the resources.
Since this remedy did not fix the issue for the other user (July 12 2023), and in their case your team went ahad and fixed it manually, could you please do the same for me?
I didn't have this issues when I tried another website builder a while ago, but really would prefer to stay with Hubspot!
Thank you so much in advance!
Best wishes, Nina
Since it has been several days and it is still processing, I am wondering if there is something on my end I still need to do?
SSL Activation not happening despite DNS record amends
SOLVE
Thank you so much for your help! I'd like to avoid the option provided since I am only trying out Hubspot for now and want to upgrade if and when I feel more familiar and savvy with it.
I am wondering, if I disconnect the current domain that I have purchased via HostGator in my Hubspot account and then purchase a brand new domain via Hubspot directly, will that enable me to use the free SSL provided by the free Hubspot website builder, the one via Google Trust Services?
And if so, will the SSL then work automatically or will I have to do anything complicated again?
