SSL Activation for Subdomain

SOLVE

I am using a free account and trying to setup a sub domain for a blog (https://blog.flstranslation.com). I have updated my DNS and verified the domain in HubSpot, under settings > Domains & URLs. HubSpot is reporting the domain is connected.

The problem I am having is after several days, I still see a problem with the SSL activation. The message I see is: "SSL activation for blog.flstranslation.com is processing. Stay tuned, it may take up to 4 hours to complete."

Since it has been several days and it is still processing, I am wondering if there is something on my end I still need to do?

SSL Activation for Subdomain

SOLVE

Hi @LLovelett,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and thanks @TomM2 for your help!

Can you please confirm that you have updated your CAA record (as indicated below) in order to activate the SSL activation process?

Here is an article about this that can help you: "There was a problem issuing the SSL certificate for <www.yourdomain.com>".

If you have not done it yet, in your DNS provider, please access your CAA record.
- Edit the CAA record to include Google Trust Services with a flag, a tag, and a value:
flag: 0
tag: issue
value: pki.goog

The record should read: 0 issue ‘pki.goog’

Once you add Google Trust Services to the CAA record for the root domain, the SSL validation should restart automatically.

If it does not, please let me know so I can check this internally for you 🙂

Thanks and have a great day!

Hey @LLovelett do you have your blog setup and published on this domain? It looks like it's pointing to HubSpot but doesn't have any content setup.

Thank you both for your help looking into this. I've added the CAA record for my domain and I've waited several hours. When I refresh the Domains & URLs page in HubSpot settings I am still seeing the same message about SSL Activation Processing.

Hi @LLovelett,

Thanks for the confirmation!

I have checked internally for you and our Team went ahead and moved your domain over to HTTP validation.

The SSL has now been successfully issued for your domain 🙂

Have a good day!

This looks to be setup correctly when checking the DNS.

going to tag in HubSpot via @kvlschaefer would you mind checking if there's a reason this domain is stuck in ssl provisioning?
