Pop-up CTA button working incognito, but not in the browser

Hi!

We're trying to launch a Hubspot landing page with a Pop-up CTA, but the pop-up appears only on an incognito window. A regular browser doesn't work.

Am I missing something? We are using the new editor.

Sounds like a caching issue. Have you tried on other computers, other browsers, etc.

If it works elsewhere you should clear cache on your browser.

Also worth looking at what plugins you have active (ad blockers, etc). Those could maybe block scripts and wouldn't typically be active in incognito mode

@JKremer9 correct, ad blockers can interfere with HubSpot pop-up CTAs because they use filter lists that block elements commonly associated with intrusive advertising and HubSpot's tracking scripts and pop-up mechanisms often match these patterns. Users without ad blockers (or similar extensions) can see the pop-up CTA, those with ad-blocking extensions might not. Unfortunately, you can't do anything about this on the HubSpot side of things.

Hi Barry & Karsten,

We have tried clearing our caches/cookies, but that didn't work unfortunately. Good one on the extensions, as soon as we turn off our ad blocker the pop-up does work. Should we be concerned though that this pop-up won't work for a lot of visitors because of this?

Hi @JKremer9,

Can you confirm that you don't have any extensions running in your non-incognito browser window - which might be interfering?

Have you cleared cache/cookies before checking?

Best regards
